Cobb County Student Learning to Fly Thanks to the US Navy

North Cobb High School student and Junior ROTC cadet Alexis Holmes has been selected to attend a Naval STEM program to teach high-potential students how to fly and to earn their Private Pilot Licence.

Holmes was the only Georgia student selected to attend the elite training program and was among only 26 students nationwide to be chosen for the class. The purpose of the program is to train the students to certification and push them toward an aviation career, either in the military or in the private sector.
