AHTC’S Veteran Appreciation Celebration provides a widely accessible friendly interface between the public and those who have served our nation. One day is never enough for the men and women who have protected the ideals we hold sacred, but with the community’s help, we can let our local veterans know they are sincerely appreciated.
On November 7th, we can put politics aside and unite behind the men and women who have protected our freedoms and our rights to be different from one another. Bring the entire family and enjoy some casual food, conversation, and a veteran themed variety show presented by some of the area's best organizations.
- 12:00PM Gates Open for vehicle and aircraft viewing
- 1:30PM Ceremony
- 2:30PM Variety show and music
- Dusk Veteran celebration movie
Covid-19 Precautions: Due to the expected size of the crowd and the age range of those in attendance, masks will be required to gain entry into the museum grounds. Masks, combined with social distancing in an open-air environment will help to protect those who are most susceptible, our community, and our team. We appreciate your cooperation.

The YC-141B (66-0186) on display at the Aviation History & Technology Center is a monument to the thousands of men and women who have designed, built, maintained, and flown the aircraft over its four decades of service.
After more than twelve years of passionate restoration by the museum’s volunteers, it is completed and ready for its official dedication. The public is invited to join us as we welcome distinguished guests and speakers to elaborate on the C-141’s legacy, both locally and globally. The aircraft will be dedicated to the community as a tribute to the birthplace of the StarLifter.
Social/ Reception: There will be an informal gathering of StarLifter friends on Friday, November 13 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at the Doubletree by Hilton Atlanta-Marietta. Dinner and drinks will be available for purchase at the hotel restaurant/bar and there will be plenty of room to reunite with old friends and meet new ones. We hope everyone will be able to join our team for celebration and sharing of StarLifter stories. The address for the hotel is 2055 South Park Place, Atlanta, GA 30339.
